Apple has released news that their one millionth iPhone 3G was sold on Sunday. While 1 million phones sold is obviously good news, people are questioning whether it really is a better figure compared to the initial first-gen iPhone sales. First off, while it took 74 days to sell the first million units of the original iPhone, but it was only launched in the US, while the iPhone 3G was launched in 21 countries. Aside from that, there is also the minor detail that the original iPhone was launched on Friday evening, while the 3G version was launched on Friday morning. The first-gen iPhone sold 700,000 units by Sunday, as opposed to the 1,000,000 done by the iPhone 3G. So which iPhone is the real winner?
