Rogers Offering BlackBerry 8120 With UMA
Rogers and RIM have just announced that they’re launching the BlackBerry 8120 on Rogers’ network. The phone, which has been available worldwide for some time now, is compatible with Rogers’ UMA VOIP network, which works more or less like T-Mobile’s Hotspot@Home.
The handset has the usual features of the Pearl 2, such as a 3.5mm jack, external microSD, nothing that is too exciting. Rogers’ is attempting to tie users to a 3 year contract, and offering the handset for $149.99 Canadian, including a BlackBerry data service.
