O2's iPhone 3G's Price Appears For A Brief Moment

Published

on

Though the official launch of the iPhone 3G isn’t here yet, there was a price attached to the phone, albeit briefly, on O2’s website. The pricing was shown if the iPhone was to be purchased through their Pay & Go Prepaid program. The pricing for the 8GB version was £300 (about $591), and a staggering £360 (about $709) for the 16GB version.

These details disappeared from the site very soon after it was accidentally posted, and replaced with a vague promise that details would be available “shortly”, though it’s hard to imagine them posting a different price from that which was leaked. Users will at least feel better to know that this package will include six months of WiFi access, after which the price will revert back to £10 (about $20) a month.
