Nokia Snaps Up Social Activity Service Plazes

Nokia and Plazes have announced that Nokia will be acquiring substantially all assets of Plazes, who provide context-aware social-activity service that people can use to plan, record and share their social activities.

With this acquisition, Nokia will be able to extend its context-based service offering with social presence and time-based activity planning features. As mobile services are becoming more and more popular, it’s good to see that Nokia is pushing to develop more and more useful mobile apps, which can only benefit us end users.
