Nike's PhotoiD Allows Users To Color Shoes Real Ugly From Their Mobile Phone

Nike is offering some new fangled service in some European countries called “PhotoiD”. This new service basically allows users to use their cameraphones to take a picture or something, send it to a short code via MMS, and receive a picture of a rendered shoe in reply that uses the picture’s 2 most dominant colors as its highlights. It they really like it, they are even able to buy them.

It seems like a very interesting service, though it feels a lot like a gimmick (probably because it is). So the next time people see someone with a hideously colored Nike shoe, it might indirectly be the result of a badly taken picture.
