Nike's PhotoiD Allows Users To Color Shoes Real Ugly From Their Mobile Phone
Nike is offering some new fangled service in some European countries called “PhotoiDâ€. This new service basically allows users to use their cameraphones to take a picture or something, send it to a short code via MMS, and receive a picture of a rendered shoe in reply that uses the picture’s 2 most dominant colors as its highlights. It they really like it, they are even able to buy them.
It seems like a very interesting service, though it feels a lot like a gimmick (probably because it is). So the next time people see someone with a hideously colored Nike shoe, it might indirectly be the result of a badly taken picture.
