iPhone Apps Wont Be Larger Than 2GB Or Cost More Than A Grand

Everybody was happy when Apple decided to allow developers to create and charge for apps developed for the iPhone, though there might be a wee bit of disappointment with this latest bit of news. Apparently Apple intends to allow developers to charge between $0.99 and $999.99 for programs that are sold through its portal, and no single application will be allowed to exceed 2GB in size.

This shouldn’t be much of a problem for Joe Average, especially since most people aren’t going to be installing a 2GB application onto their iPhones, and much less pay more than a thousand dollars for it, but still, having limits is never fun. Maybe some of us harbor dark thoughts of installing a $10,000, 3GB software into the iPhone, it seems like those dreams will never be realized now.
