AT&T And Starbucks Serve "Free" WiFi

After a hiccup or two, AT&T and Starbucks have finally launched the free WiFi service that everybody has been waiting for. Are there any more problems? Well, it seems that it isn’t really free.

It seems that this “free” service is only available to paying customers, as customers will need to purchase and use a Starbucks card. On top of that, the free WiFi access is only available to those who have used their Starbucks cards in the past 30 days.

To make matters worse, the free WiFi will only be available in 2-hour clips, which means that customers can only use free WiFi for two consecutive hours each day.

As a result, it’s not going to be called “free WiFi”, as Starbucks is calling it “a way to thank our loyal customers”. AT&T Laptop Connect customers with an applicable plan still have their own deal for free WiFi. So it seems that WiFi will need to be served with espresso for the moment.
