ASUS To Introduce The Glide Interface
Now that Apple’s iPhone has raised the standard for mobile phone interfaces, users should notice that there has been a lot of development going on the department of mobile phone interface design. HTC has recently just launched its TouchFLO and TouchFLO 3D interface running on top of Windows Mobile. Gigabyte and Sony Ericsson also have similar things. So it seems that ASUS has decided to join in the party, with its Glide. Though ASUS hasn’t specifically stated which operating system the Glide will run on, the fact that all their handsets are running on Windows Mobile probably gives a very strong hint. The Glide will probably have screens such as “ASUS Todayâ€, “Anytime Launcherâ€, “EziPhoto†and “EziMusicâ€.
The new interface, which was unveiled at Computex proclaims to make “multitasking easier than ever†and allow users to “interact seamlessly with their handhelds to obtain everything they require; in fun, style and simplicityâ€.
