Q-Cash: Pay Your Taxi Fare By SMS

Gulf News has reported that Abu Dhabi residents will soon be able to pay for taxis by simply sending an SMS from their mobile phones, after the implementation of a new e-payment system.

This new system is called “Q-cash”, and is scheduled to be launched by the end of August of September this year. All taxis in the Emirates are targeted to eventually offer this service to their customers.
