I-HSPA Trial Run Hits 10.1 Mbps Transfer Speed

Mobilkom Austria and Nokia Siemens Networks have recently performed some tests on Internet High Speed Packet Access (I-HSPA) equipment, and the results have been interesting.

During a data call test, information was transmitted at a rate of 10.1 Mbps, effectively making it the world’s fastest I-HSPA call.

I-HSPA is different from the traditional HSPA, mainly due to the network architecture being flattened and the base stations are connected directly to the internet, representing a step between standard HSPA and LTE.
