AT&T Shipping iPhone Plastic Bags For Free?

Many people have been taking advantage of AT&T’s recent aggressive pricing on refurbished iPhones. Many people have reported receiving an extra package (aside from the one containing the iPhone). What does this mysterious package contain? Well, its an iPhone plastic bag! Yes, AT&T packed a plastic bag into a big box, and shipped it out to customers with the packing slip saying “75011 MISC iPhone PPA BAG … $0.00″.

Apparantly the reason for this is that Apple required them to show the iPhone to customers when they were making the purchase, to confirm that everything is sealed properly, after which the iPhone would be put into the plastic bag and sealed. Its quite a good idea initially, but it doesn’t seem very practical for it to be carried over to a shipping method, especially when the plastic bag is shipped separately!
