RIM sues Motorola, Motorola sues RIM, court system dies a little inside

On Saturday, RIM filed a lawsuit claiming that Motorola infringed on several of their patents, asking for a high amount of royalties based on this patent theft. Though it took Motorola’s counter suit filing to have this fight’s bell truly ring, with the fists flying both ways now.

In response to RIM’s legal offensive against them, Moto has filed a complaint saying that RIM is doing the same thing they are barking at them about. Moto claims that RIM infringed on up to seven of their patents on the BlackBerry 8000-series and the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
