Many phone manufacturers have designed phones for the aim of providing mobile communication to developing countries, but none anywhere near the realm of this petite price tag. Developed by Spice, the “people’s phone” removes all non-essential features, including the screen.

The “people’s phone” will start selling in the Asian market as early as next month for the equivalent of £10. Spice says that the day of a price cut to £5 might not be too far away.
