Samsung patent reveals idea for better battery life

If it weren’t for the limitations that power supply causes for mobile devices, many cell phones would be among the most liberating devices ever created. As devices get smaller, so do the Li-Ion battery packs which typically clip on to the back of the device. A new patent application from Samsung reveals a new idea for supplying larger batteries for better battery life.

The new patent reveals a battery arrangement which integrated the battery into a removable keypad on the rear of the device. The front of the phone is made up of a large navigational touch display, with the rear of the device made from a removable keypad and a smaller display for calling purposes. This allows for space to be optimized for a larger battery.
