Phone with e-paper pull-out display

E-readers haven’t blown up the consumer electronic charts just yet, but the future of e-paper technology might lie in integration with other gadgets. Dutch company, Polymer Vision, has developed their Readius device, a mobile phone with an e-paper pull-out.

The Readius is planned to be launched in mid-2008, and is geared to compete with not only mobile phones, but devices such as the Amazon Kindle as well. In addition to the cool e-paper feature, the Readius will also offer 3G connectivity to enjoy web browsing. No pricing or official release date is available.
