Blackberry 9000? More like Blackberry 8xxx
The phone that was recently thought to be the Blackberry 9000 turns out to be a farce. We showed our skepticism by calling the device a fake, but most likely we thought this because it does not resemble the original 9000 rendering at all. As is shown here from an excerpt from the Vodafone roadmap, it seems as though the 9000 is actually just another edition to the 8xxx series of Blackberry devices.
So to sum things up, the “Blackberry 9000” is actually a 8xxx device with a 624MHz processor, with full HSDPA and tri-band UMTS (850/1900/2100), a “half VGA” screen (480 x 320), a 1500mAh battery, GPS, Wi-Fi, a 2 MP camera. Still not to shabby as far as Blackberries go, no matter what series number it is. Vodafone scores big with this one.
