T-Moble takes Telus to court over "myFaves" brand

T-Mobile USA has filed a lawsuit against Canadian operator Telus Mobility over the rights to the “myFaves” service branding. T-Mobile launched the myFaves service in late 2006, allowing unlimited calls to five of your most commonly called contacts, regardless of their service provider.

The lawsuit is due to the fact that Telus has also launched a promotion called My Faves, that similarly provides unlimited calling to five contacts. T-Mobile filed for trademark rights over the myFaves name earlier this year, putting Telus in a sticky situation. Our guess is that a settlement is met out of court.
