Nokia acquires Avvenu; Soon to offer mobile PC access?

Nokia has announced their acquisition of Avvenu, a privately-held start up company which will be added to Nokia’s Software unit by January 1. Avvenu offers an Internet service which allows users to securely access files from their desktop computers, as well as share and use the files.

Avvenu claims that the service they provide is a “missing ingredient to mobile productivity”. Their purchase by Nokia brings the technology one step closer to live integration into mobile life. The question is, will Nokia actually use Avvenu for their intended service?
