iPhone to offer support for Microsoft Exchange and Outlook

A new job listing for Apple has revealed that the Cupertino tech boys might have full sync options on the rise. The listing in question is looking for a “motivated, highly-technical Exchange test/sync engineer with excellent problem solving and communication skills.”

This could only mean that Apple is planning some serious compatibility support for the Microsoft Exchange mobile e-mail platform. So far, the iPhone has been limited to IMAP functionality under pretty strict conditions when it comes to Microsoft products. Though still speculative, this could eventually lead to the iPhone supporting ActiveSync, which would complete the iPhone as one of the most compatible smartphones.
