Ion-Mask makes any phone waterproof
Countless amounts of mobile devices have been ruined by accidental dips into water. Personally, I’ve dropped cellphones in the toilet no less than two time. Needless to say, the phone didn’t like that too much. A British company has unveiled a solution that can be applied to phones called Ion-Mask, that is said to repel water and oil molecules from penetrating into the depths of the device.
A special plasma material is coated on the phone hardware which protects the device from being destroyed when dipped in water. The makers of Ion-Mask are currently in talks with three cellphone manufacturers, with plans to coat their hardware with the solution.
