Huawei handset officially makes its way to the U.S.

Chinese phone manufacturer Huawei has officially made the jump across the sea with their introduction of the entry-level M318 clamshell device into the U.S. mobile market. The M318 passed through the guard of the FCC back in June, though only recently made its debut in North America under a partnership with MetroPCS.

The CDMA-enabled device won’t pack too many extras in, even leaving out the luxurious flare of a camera or Bluetooth functionality, though what you can expect is a dirt cheap price. Asian mobile companies often test the US waters by offering super-cheap handsets first to get a taste of American soil.
