Hop-On's PDA smartphone device for gamblers is an odd mix

Earlier this month, an obscure company called Hop-On announced a disposable cellphone device that could be used with any provider. This time around the people over at Hop-On have a phone geared towards gamblers being offered. The company claims the device could be the first phone which “will have the ability to become the world’s first handheld slot machine, bingo, video poker or black jack device”.

Details on this Windows Mobile 6 smartphone are hazy as of now, as well as any proof of functionality for the said gambling features. Any way you twist it, a dual-mode GSM / CDMA device geared towards gambling is a bizarre sales demographic to pose towards but oh so American. But as much as we hate to say it, unorthodox devices such as this are refreshing in a way.
