We all know how Japan has one of the highest cellphone penetration rates in the world, and DoCoMo has decided to come up with a kid-friendly handset to start them young. Known as th F801i , this cellphone from Fujitsu is waterproof (nice – you know how careless kids can be) and features a number of kid-friendly functions. There is a portable alarm that can be triggered manually by your kid just in case some weirdo comes along to cart him/her away, while a bracelet which comes with the F801i that the kid wears has more than a fashionable function. Should the handset be separated from the bracelet (within a reasonable range, of course), the F801i will send you an alert so that you will be able to respond appropriately. Other than that, the F801i also provides access to a kid-friendly website that has games just in case he/she does not own a DS.
