Sony Ericsson has given a first look at their new PlayNow Arena service, the next-gen update for their current PlayNow music service. PlayNow Arena offers a new TrackID application that allows users to record a snippet of a song from the radio, while using recognition technology to take you to that song on the PlayNow store, where you can then chose to purchase that song. PlayNow Arena will also broaden the amount of content available through the service, with many more games, wallpaper, and themes available then ever before.
The new Arena service is planned to roll out in the second quarter of 2008.
