HTC to launch 2-3 Android OS phones; Plans big year

HTC has announced that they expect their revenues to grow by upwards of 20% in 2008 as they plan to launch 2-3 phones with the open-source Google mobile OS Android. HTC CEO Peter Chou made this announcement in a statement during a meeting with analysts from foreign investment firms in Taiwan. Chou also made some other bold upcoming changes from HTC, including a new interface, improving on the TouchFLO technology, as well as a non-Qualcomm 3G network, as well as the launch of WiMAX/TD-WCDMA mobile devices by the end of 2008 or in early 2009.
