HTC launches Touch Cruise
Not to be confused with Tom (or even Suri) Cruise, HTC has announced the launch of the HTC Touch Cruise, the first HTC Touch device to have a significant revamp of its design. The Cruise is the third touchscreen smartphone release from HTC since their first HTC Touch release. Originally known as the HTC Polaris, is based around the same Windows Mobile 6, TouchFLO finger-based interface, adding in a navigation wheel as well as extra shortcut buttons for its special features, such as its TomTom supplied GPS with full navigation. The Cruise also offers a 3 MP camera, as well as a front VGA camera on the front for video calls. The phone provides full 3G connectivity, supporting HSDPA networks in Canada, the US, as well as Europe. HTC will release the device as a unlocked carrier-independent phone in Europe, with price information not yet specified. Look for a North American release through AT&T or Rogers soon.
