T-Mobile launches Samsung T639 3G Phone

It is surprising that T-Mobile has waited this long to launch their Samsung T639 handset, given that the FCC approved the phone model in early July, but it is probably because T-Mobile still hasn’t deployed their 3G service. Despite its 3G capabilities, the T639 will be limited to EDGE data speeds (awfully slow) for now.

At least the launch of the phone could be a signal that T-Mobile is close to finally having a 3G offering.
