Samsung has just unveiled the first TD-HSDPA cellphone in China, where this dual-band handset will boast a 260k color TFT display, a 1.3 megapixel camera and a VGA camera for video calls. According to Samsung, should this TD-HSDPA technology be applied, it will take less than a single minute to download five MP3 files (where each file weighs in a 3MB apiece), making it up to seven times faster than current speeds of 384kbps utilizing existing 3G technology. That sounds really fast, but as usual take this figure with a pinch of salt since we all know that theoretical speeds and actual speeds differ (vastly).
