There is a new BlackBerry Pearl in town, and this time it comes with a built-in GPS receiver. The original Pearl has already been floating about for a year and was available on the GSM standard only, but this new version will be a CDMA device that boasts 3G support as well. The updated Pearl 8130 will also include an updated user interface as well as a new font rendering technology, upgrading the megapixel count in its digital camera to 2, and an improved LED flash. Other features include Bluetooth stereo support, a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack, an externally accessible microSD/SDHC memory card slot, and echo cancellation for crystal clear conversations. The new BlackBerry Pearl 8130 will come in a choice of silver and amethyst colors and will be available from CDMA carriers in North America from November 2007 onwards. Pricing details are still unknown.
