Gmail enables IMAP support

on

Google has finally enabled IMAP Gmail support that allows Gmail users to synchronize their accounts across the desktop, notebook, cellphone, and virtually any other device that can access Gmail. Works great for those who have to mark their emails as “read” on the notebook only to do the same on the cellphone later on. Sounds great as it makes life a whole lot easier. In order to activate this feature, log into your Gmail account and check the “Settings” tab. The IMAP feature is available under the “Forwarding and POP/IMAP” section, where further instructions are provided there. Setup is painless taking just a few minutes, although some form of computer knowledge would be advantageous. Great to see Google ease our lives.
