Fujitsu FOMA F1100 slider phone
The Fujitsu FOMA F1100 slider smartphone looks like any other handset at first glance, but it doesn’t run on CDMA or GSM frequencies, instead relies on the integrated 802.11a/b/g WiFi radio to keep you connected. Strange, yes, but true – since every time you are out of a hotspot you cannot be contacted. Still, this Windows Mobile 6 powered device has ample power to run core productivity applications on it. Features include a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth connectivity, a microSD memory card slot, a slide-out numeric keypad, and a 2.6″ QVGA display. No idea on pricing, but do keep a lookout for the FOMA F1100 in Japan sometime in Q1 next year.
