Verizon Wireless unveils Coupe
Now I know most of the older folk would have had lost the verve for life, preferring instead to settle for a family car instead of a coupe, but Verizon Wireless aims to inject some fun into senior citizens’ lives with the Coupe cellphone. This handset comes with large keys and a dummy-proof (nearly, anyway) user interface and will be complemented by new calling plans for those aged 65 and above. The Coupe measures 96.5mm x 45.7mm x 20.3mm and weighs 93.5 grams, where a row of 3 keys at the bottom of the screen provides quick access to emergency contacts. Handy applications include a tip calculator, a calendar, and a world clock. You can also take advantage of the voice dialing feature, while various color codes have been introduced for different functions. The Coupe will retail for $29.99 with a new 2-year service plan.
