Sony Ericsson touchscreen slider patent

Looks like Sony Ericsson are pretty serious when it comes to taking on the iPhone where touchscreen devices are concerned. They have applied for another patent known as “Housing arrangement for a portable device with display”. This concept dwells upon the reverse slider that has been explored by other manufacturers such as BenQ , Asus and LG, although Sony Ericsson decided to throw in a touchscreen interface as well. I’m not too thrilled with the idea, but at the very least your touchscreen gets some semblance of protection when it is not in use.
