The Nokia 6301 utilizes UMA (Unlicense Mobile Access) technology, bringing seamless voice and data mobility over GSM cellular and WLAN networks to consumers. This means dropped calls, echoes, and poor reception will be a thing of the past. The Nokia 6301 measures a mere 11.9mm thin and features a 2″ QVGA display, 30MB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot, voice dialing, an MP3 player, and an integrated FM radio. It is expected to hit selected markets in Europe sometime in the fourth quarter of this year, retailing for approximately 230 Euros prior to tax and subsidies. Be careful if your other half gets you this for your birthday or Christmas – you can no longer use the “The signal is really poor, I’m breaking up! Call you back later?” excuse.
