Palm Centro targets younger audience
The Palm Centro has been designed to target a younger audience, as it comes at a much more affordable price tag and a smaller size. In fact, the Centro is said to be the smallest Palm offering to date despite coming with a full QWERTY keyboard and touchscreen controls. A demo version has even been shown to support EVDO connectivity, which means it is compatible with Sprint’s 3G network. Unfortunately, rumors of its Bluetooth and camera connectivity could not be confirmed. Chances are the Palm Centro would not sell at a higher price than the Treo 680 which currently goes for $200 with a 2-year contract.
