Nokia wants ban on Qualcomm chips

Nokia has demanded that the US International Trade Commission ban imports of selected 3G cellular chipsets from Qualcomm, claiming that up to five Nokia patents have been violated. Apparently Nokia mentions that certain Qualcomm cellular chipsets that are supports EVDO and HSDPA were hurting Nokia’s business since they copy techniques that made Nokia increase the level of power efficiency in its own chipsets, hence chipping away whatever advantage it has in the US. Looks like Qualcomm is currently going through some rough times.
