HTC Nike could get 3G

Word on the street has it that HTC has some improvements up its sleeves for the Nike, also known as the 5500. These upgrades are said to include a sliding number pad to the handset, 3G connectivity via HSDPA and UMTS, as well as an added front VGA camera to help you connect to family and friends via a video call. It seems that the display will be shrunk a wee bit to 2.6″, but the custom interface loaded on top of Windows Mobile will be preserved. There is also an outside chance of GPS being made available to the consumer as well. Apparently this new and improved HTC Nike will be launched in the US next month without being attached to any carrier. Chances are you can pick up an entry-level notebook at a same price level, too…
