Sanyo drops Katana DLX
Sanyo has proudly announced the new Katana DLX clamshell cellphone to accompany the recently released Katana II. While it shares a roughly similar look and feel, the Katana DLX is without doubt the superior handset, featuring a thicker and heavier body that contains a microSD memory card slot (up to 4GB in size), a 1.3 megapixel camera, EV-DO connectivity, and compatibility with Sprint’s Power Vision services. MP3 playback, speakerphone functionality, and PIM applications round off the list of features. A release date has yet to be set, but you can bet your bottom dollar that the Katana DLX will appear on the Sprint network soon, available in Platinum Ice, Pink Satin, and Champagne colors.
