Orange in France has unveiled the SPV C200 handset that aims to bring smartphone-class features to those who are operating on a tight budget. This candybar handset offers a keypad and joystick for navigation purposes (sorry no QWERTY for you message addicts) and is powered by Windows Mobile 5. Manufactured by Amoi, the SPV C200 hooks up to the Internet via EDGE, so don’t expect premium performance. Other features include a 1.3 megapixel camera, an integrated MP3 player, and six hours of calling time. The SPV C200 is dirt cheap, retailing for $12 with a 2-year plan.
