Motorola puts WiFi in RIZR Z3

This has been a long time in coming, but Motorola has finally made the move to include WiFi connectivity into its RIZR Z3 cellphone that will probably be released sometime early 2008. This new and improved Z3 will use the same 2 megapixel camera while retaining the Bluetooth connection and microSD memory card slot. The inclusion of a WiFi chipset makes it easy to update the handset over an Internet connection. Motorola has decided to part ways with its Synergy interface, and use the Linux-based JUIX interface in lieu. The JUIX interface is expected make networking over local wireless and EDGE a cinch. The RIZR Z3 at this point in time is unlocked, but chances are it could end up on T-Mobile’s Hotspot@Home plan sometime down the road.
