HTC launches new handsets in Japan
Japan is a land flooded with robots and advanced cellphones, but most of them still suffer from the dreaded SIM lock which requires a subscriber to purchase a new cellphone whenever he/she wants to switch networks. Hopefully HTC will change that by offering unlocked handsets in the form of the Advantage X7501 or P3600 (with GPS) – whereby both are WCDMA handsets and boast HSDPA connectivity for super fast mobile Internet connections. If you want affordable cellphones that are not already locked down, head towards South East Asia, where stronger Western currencies will find these handsets to be bargains.
