FCC gives nod to Samsung T639

FCC has recently re-approved the Samsung T639 after its original approval (as a quad-band GSM handset) was revoked. This new approval places the T639 as a cellphone that comes with WCDMA 1700 support. The model number alone as well as support for this band points toward T-Mobile as the mobile operator of choice. The Samsung T639 is a clamshell cellphone that boasts quad-band GSM/EDGE, Bluetooth connectivity, and the ability to surf the Internet via 3G. Other information is not available as at press time, so we’ll just have to keep our eyes peeled. The T639 will probably be a budget 3G handset if anything goes.
