Samsung has just launched its fashionable SGH-E590 cellphone in Singapore, utilizing a new touch sensitive control area in lieu of a traditional D-pad controller that looks like those touchpads on notebooks. Samsung claims that the E950’s user interface will depend on sweeping finger swipes, making it all the more harder for older folks to comprehend on just how a cellphone should work. Other features of the SGH-E950 includes a 1.2″ OLED display, a 2″ 262k color display, tri-band GSM/EDGE, a 3.2 megapixel camera with video recording capability, MP3 playback, 70MB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot. The SGH-E950 is tipped to be released this July at a yet undisclosed price.
