The BlackBerry 8830 World Edition smartphone has finally been released by Verizon Wireless, giving customers the ability to stay in touch via email wirelessly no matter which part of the globe they’re at. Since the 8830 supports both CDMA and GSM modes, it is smart enough to make a switch automatically depending on the current country you’re at. Interested parties will be able to pick up the BlackBerry 8830 for $299.99 after a $100 rebate and a 2-year contract. Unless you’re a real globetrotter, getting this for your kid is but a waste of money.
