VW to offer BlackBerry 8830

Rumors regarding the BlackBerry 8830 have been floating for quite some time now, but Verizon Wireless has laid down some facts stating it will offer the 8830 as a World Edition smartphone which is capable of operating in both CDMA and GSM networks. While the former is used for domestic calls across Verizon’s network, the latter will function in overseas networks. We also know that the Cyclone (8830) will come with a QVGA display and a microSD memory card slot. I presume the lack of a camera feature is due to the fact this is a business phone, and having a camera around could compromise a company’s secrets in the wrong hands.
