Kinetic-powered phones a possibility
Using kinetic energy to power devices have been tried before, notably in watches without much success. What happens when the technology is advanced enough to power everyday devices such as cellphones and MP3 players? A patent for such a device has already been discovered, so all we have to do now is sit back and wait for the technology to catch up with the bunch of power hungry gadgets we use today. Imagine never recharging your cellphone ever again – just shake it for a few minutes and you can carry on yakking for the next hour. Some of the most obvious beneficiaries from such technology would be flash-based digital audio players used by joggers and the Nintendo Wiimote.
