FCC approves Sony Ericsson Z310a

The folks at the FCC have taken a good look at the Sony Ericsson Z310a and came away pleased, hence the stamp of approval. The clamshell Z310a features EDGE connectivity, a full HTML Web browser, an RSS reader, e-mail, and a sound recorder. Definitely an entry-level handset that will appeal to those looking for a basic communications solution. By the way, it really piques my curiousity as to why the FCC use old, chipped wooden rulers in order to measure the length of a cellphone. You would think that a place which scrutinizes a bunch of advanced electronics each day would have a more updated method of measuring product dimensions.
