There is a new smartphone in town that is pretty small in stature, although it will not take over the title of smallest touchscreen phone from the 138 anytime soon. The i501 is a GSM candybar handset looks very fashionable in either black or white, but it falls rather short in the features department. Each $180 purchase will net you a 1.3 megapixel camera, a 2″ touchscreen display, MP3, WAV, WMV and MPEG-4 format support, 196MB of internal memory, and a Chinese-English and English-Chinese dictionary. It is a pity the manufacturer failed to include a memory card slot for further expansion.
