Second iDEN-CDMA hybrid from Sprint
Sprint Nextel is now offering the second hybrid iDEN/CDMA cellphone in the form of the Motorola ic402. This new cellphone has its roots in the ic502 albeit with a few noticeable cosmetic changes. Among the differences are removing the external display on the ic402 and being unable to live up to the strict adherence of the military 810f specification. This means you basically get a souped-down ic502 that is more injury-prone in a clamshell format. Picking up the Motorola ic402 from Sprint Nextel is pretty affordable – it costs a mere $40 after rebates, making it $20 more affordable than the robust ic502.
