Samsung SGH-i718 launched

Samsung Electronics have lifted the curtain on the SGH-i718 at the current ITU Telecom World 2006 that is held in Hong Kong. This product will cater only for the Chinese market, and has already been given the nod by the FCC. This GSM/EDGE/GPRS handset is powered by Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system and comes with a large 2.8″ 65k color TFT touchscreen display, presumably for writing down Chinese characters that require a larger screen footprint. Other features include a 2 megapixel camera with auto focus, numerous video and audio format support, 128MB RAM, 64MB ROM, a microSD card slot, and Bluetooth connectivity. There is no word on how much the SGH-i718 will cost when it is released.
